All you that do this place pass bye
Remember death for you must dye
As you are now even so was I
And as I am now so shall you be.

There was a similar gravestone in my home town in Georgia (USA). It read:

Remember, youth, as you pass by,
As you are now, so once was I.
As I am now, so shall you be.
Prepare for death, and follow me.

Legend has it that some wag once appended a sign that read:

To follow you I'm not content
Until I know which way you went.!

Lovely pictures, lovely blog.
