Powder

We've gotten snow, the first for 2010 and only the second dusting of this winter season. It never lasts long here in Reykjavík, and by weeks end it will surely all be gone.

For now, the pretty powder decorates our backyard nicely, and it's only a matter of adding a snowman or two to make the scene complete.

Thanks for showing me what I didn't see in December 09 - snow in Reykjavík! But on the other hand: too much snow in the Westfjords to make my way to Djúpavík... grrrr :-)) Next try in April...

Absolutely beautiful picture! Lovely! And f course, I stumbled upon our blog while looking for the volcano updates. Had been very fascinated with the country when I was a kid and had forgotten all about it till this news came up. Loved your blog and will follow it for Iceland updates. This was my first interaction of any sorts with anybody/thing from Iceland. Thanks.
