Still Life Rvk

Here's a pretty shot of Ása and Benoný's cute timber house on Skólavördurstígur, well-guarded by all manner of iconic images, as well as an iron fence.

I like the way that wolf is eyeing the beer :).

On another note, I'm surprised I missed this blog for so long! It's a great blog, keep up the good work :). I'm a fan of the single picture / commentary format.

Great photo. No words needed, perhaps, because it inspires so many questions/ponderings! Interesting juxtapositions...

as beautiful as i find your city, i am saddened by the exponential increase in graffitti i see around the 101.
my wife and i were there around the end of december and were shocked at how much the city has been tagged. i understand that this is a relatively new phenomena for reykjavik and the city doesn't have the built-in infrastructure to take care of this eyesore as you see in other metropolitan cities, but it needs to wake up and put a stop to this. graffitti breeds more graffitti and other vandalism. i am totally in love with your city and your counrty. it makes me ache inside when i see it disrespected or vandalised. don't let our western bad habits and culture destroy that which makes reykjavik such a wonderful place.
don't get me wrong, the "bombs" and murals are awesome art work. it's the stupid tags that ruin the city. tell your government to get on it before it's too late!
sorry, i'll get off my soapbox now. thank you for listening
